Greetings, and welcome to a new semester! I am a native of Augusta, GA and a Hephzibah High School Alumnus (Class of 2001).  As an educator, I believe in an education that transcends the classroom.  I am a second-generation educator, the son of the late HHS educator Melinda Williams and of Vietnam veteran Charlie Williams; per my mother's legacy, my approach to education is that of a nurturer.  My favorite book is Pedagogy of the Oppressed, which advocates for an "invitational" classroom experience and a "problem-posing" education model that puts students face-to-face with the world in truth rather than the world in theory.  My dream is to create students who recognize their capacity to actively transform their communities with their own hands.
