Hello everyone, I am Curtis Pryor and I happily welcome you to Hephzibah High School. I am a graduate from Augusta University with a Bachelor's in Finance in 2016. I gained my certificate to teach 9th through 12th grade math in the spring of 2021 through the Tapp (Teacher Academy of Preparation and Pedagogy) Program. Later, I earned the honor of being named Teacher of the year at my previous school in the spring of 2023. I graduated from Mercer University with my Masters in Education in the spring of 2024, certifying myself with endorsements in Stem and coaching. This year I have the privilege of teaching Algebra C&C, Algebra support, and Advanced Algebra.
My teaching style focuses on helping students understand the "why" behind math, not just the "how." I strive to make math meaningful, engaging, and applicable to real-life situations. My classroom is a space where all students are encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow.I look forward to working closely with you and your child to ensure a successful and rewarding school year. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at pryorcu@boe.richmond.k12.ga.us or (706) 426-3033 if you have any questions.
