  • Meet Chef Ricky Steadman

    Chef Steadman is a local and loves Augusta.  He graduated from Hephzibah High School and went on to attend the most prestigious culinary institution in the world, The Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY. He has also had the pleasure of working at Pebble Beach Golf Resort in Pebble Beach, California and Samoset Resort in Rockport, Maine.  Chef Steadman has served as Lead Chef at Augusta National Golf Club as well and ran his own Private Chef and Catering Business Starving IV Attention, right here in Augusta, GA.  The highlight of his career was teaching abroad at the prestigious Toscana Saporita Cooking School in Tuscany,Italy. RCTCM is proud to have Chef Steadman and the Culinary Program. 

     

  • Culinary Pathway

     
    The Culinary Department at RCTCM provides courses for high school students to learn the basic food preparation skills.  Lessons include Food Safety and Sanitation, Proper Knife Skills, Recipe Reading, Culinary Math, Table Service, Equipment Use and an introduction to Baking Techniques.  Students also learn where food comes from through our in-house hydroponic tower garden and outdoor garden.  This is a great hands-on pathway that looks into the yummy world of food.
