Tara Claitt is an experienced music educator with over seven years of teaching in public school classrooms and more than a decade of involvement in extracurricular music programs. With a lifelong connection to music—rooted in a childhood shaped by a musically gifted mother and an enthusiast father—Ms. Claitt began singing at an early age and pursued vocal studies at Augusta State University. Though she originally trained in vocal performance, she shifted her focus to music education, where she found her calling.

Currently, a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Music Education program at Augusta University, Ms. Claitt continues to develop her craft while inspiring the next generation of musicians. In 2025, she was honored as Middle School Choir Director of the Year, and her chorus has performed at numerous district and community events, reflecting her passion, leadership, and commitment to excellence in music education.
