• Welcome to Coach Schneider’s Class Page!

Hello and welcome! My name is Russ Schneider, and I’m excited to be teaching 8th Grade Georgia Studies as well as 11th Grade AP and Honors Government this school year. I’m looking forward to a year full of discovery, growth, and success for every student who walks into my classroom.

With over 23 years of experience in education, I’ve dedicated my career to helping students understand the world around them, develop critical thinking skills, and prepare to be informed, responsible citizens. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Studies / Education from Augusta State University and a Master’s Degree in Leadership from Luther Rice College & Seminary.

This year, we’ll explore everything from Georgia’s rich history and diverse geography to the foundational principles of American government. Whether you’re studying state history or advanced political systems, my goal is to challenge, inspire, and support each of you every step of the way.

    Positive Classroom Expectations

To ensure a respectful and productive learning environment, I have a few core expectations for all students:

    1. Be Respectful – Speak and act with kindness and consideration toward others.
    2. Be Prepared – Come to class on time with all materials and assignments ready.
    3. Be Engaged – Participate actively in discussions, activities, and lessons.
    4. Take Responsibility – Own your actions, decisions, and learning.
    5. Support One Another – Celebrate each other’s successes and help when needed.
    6. Follow Directions – Listen carefully and follow instructions the first time.
    7. Stay Positive – Maintain a growth mindset and encourage others.
    8. Use Technology Wisely – Stay focused and use devices only when appropriate.
    9. Ask for Help – If you’re struggling, speak up. I’m here for you.
    10. Have Fun Learning – Be open to new ideas and enjoy the journey!

Let’s make this year an incredible one. I’m honored to be part of your academic journey, and I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out through the school contact system or stop by before or after class.

    Let’s go, White Tigers!
