Welcome to 7th Grade ELA!

Dear Students, 

I’m so excited to welcome you to our 7th grade English Language Arts class! This year, we’ll explore stories that make us think, write pieces that share our voices, and dive deep into the kind of learning that helps us grow not just as students, but as people. 

ELA is more than reading and writing—it’s about discovering how words shape the world around us. We’ll read novels, articles, and poems that challenge us, discuss big ideas, and build the skills you’ll need to succeed in school and beyond. There will be times when you’ll feel proud, and times when things get tough—but every moment is a chance to learn. 

In this classroom, your voice matters. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, share your thoughts, and support each other. We’ll build a respectful, kind, and creative community where everyone belongs. I can’t wait to meet each of you and get started. Come ready to read, write, imagine—and be exactly who you are. This year is going to be amazing.
