Entering the Classroom

Line up quietly in the hall.

Enter only when an adult is present.
-
Read the board for instructions.
- Put bookbags in the cubbies, remove all items needed for learning first.

Go directly to your assigned seat.
Lesson Activator

Read the board and think about the prompt.
-
Complete the prompt silently and independently.
-
Finished early? Read, review notes, or work on unfinished assignments.
Transitions
-
Listen carefully for the teacher’s signal.
-
Move quickly, quietly, and safely (especially on lab days).

Have materials ready in 30 seconds.
Lab & Desk Expectations

Desks: Keep only necessary items out.
-
Labs: Follow all safety rules, handle equipment with care, and clean up completely.

Respect personal and group space at all times.
Community & Shared Supplies

Ask permission before using lab materials, calculators, or supplies.
-
Use items carefully and return neatly.
-
Report broken or missing items immediately.
Bathroom & Water Breaks
- Pay attention to scheduled bathroom breaks.

In the event you need to use the bathroom, only 1 student is allowed out at a time.

Ask with a raised hand and wait for permission.
-
Go during independent work, not during instruction or labs.
Homework & Assignments

Due on the assigned date.

Late Policy:
-
1 day late → accepted with partial credit.
-
More than 1 day late → parent contact.
-
Habitual missing work → detention & parent meeting.

Consistent completion = reward at the end of each term!

Classroom Rewards & Consequences
Rewards: Positive calls/emails home, science-themed privileges, class celebrations, end-of-term recognition.
Consequences: Warning → Parent Contact → Detention → Office Referral (if behavior continues).
