• Welcome to 7th Grade Science!

    Teacher: Ms. Hudson
"Curiosity fuels discovery — let’s explore science together!"

    Our Shared Expectations

We are a science community, and success depends on teamwork, respect, and responsibility. Together, we agree to:

✔ Be on time and ready to learn
Show respect to everyone and everything
    ✔ Always try your best
✔ Follow all science safety rules
✔ Encourage and support one another

    Be Prepared Every Day

    Bring the following items:

    • Pencil case (pencils, pens, highlighter)

    • Charged device (laptop/tablet)

    • Science notebook & folder

    • Completed homework/assignments

    • A curious, positive attitude!

    Entering the Classroom

    • Line up quietly in the hall.

    • Enter only when an adult is present.

    • Read the board for instructions.

    • Put bookbags in the cubbies, remove all items needed for learning first.
    • Go directly to your assigned seat.

    Lesson Activator

    • Read the board and think about the prompt.

    • Complete the prompt silently and independently.

    • Finished early? Read, review notes, or work on unfinished assignments.

    Transitions

    • Listen carefully for the teacher’s signal.

    • Move quickly, quietly, and safely (especially on lab days).

    • Have materials ready in 30 seconds.

    Lab & Desk Expectations

    • Desks: Keep only necessary items out.

    • Labs: Follow all safety rules, handle equipment with care, and clean up completely.

    • Respect personal and group space at all times.

    Community & Shared Supplies

    • Ask permission before using lab materials, calculators, or supplies.

    • Use items carefully and return neatly.

    • Report broken or missing items immediately.

    Bathroom & Water Breaks

    • Pay attention to scheduled bathroom breaks.
    • In the event you need to use the bathroom, only 1 student is allowed out at a time.

    • Ask with a raised hand and wait for permission.

    • Go during independent work, not during instruction or labs.

    Homework & Assignments

    • Due on the assigned date.

    • Late Policy:

      • 1 day late → accepted with partial credit.

      • More than 1 day late → parent contact.

      • Habitual missing work → detention & parent meeting.

    • Consistent completion = reward at the end of each term!

    Need Help?

Science can be challenging — but you’re never alone!

    • Ask questions during class.

    • Stay after class or email me if you’re stuck.

    • Small group tutoring may be available.
