Dear Rebels Family,
Can you believe that we are already in May, the last month of school? Where has the time gone?
COVID-19 has been an interesting pandemic for families all over the world. While some people have enjoyed the quarantine for mental, physical, and health reasons, for some families it has caused increased anxiety due to monetary and other restraints. Not only did some students go home to stressful situations, some faculty and staff members are experiencing anxious situations because they need the energy of being with other people. Whatever your situation, we want you to know that administration of Hephzibah High School wants to support you as best we can during these unsure times.
May 4-May 8 is National Teacher and Staff Appreciation Week. This is a time to celebrate the school personnel, who support dreams, provide a safe and nurturing school environment, and serve as counselors and a listening ear when things are going well. Take the time this week to celebrate a teacher or staff member who made a difference in your life.
Due to COVID-19, school checkout will be a little different this year. While we have ideas about how to checkout, we are awaiting final guidance from the state to determine our dates and next steps.
Graduation has been postponed to Tuesday, July 21, 2020. Rehearsal and the number of tickets for each graduate have not been determined, but we will share that information as it becomes available.
Prom has NOT been cancelled at this time. We are still working to determine a suitable date and working with vendors who are willing or able to work during this time. Once again, we will inform you when the information becomes available.
If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 706.220.2403. The school website is also a great place for information.
