    The Davidson School Counseling Program fosters an environment in which students can achieve academic and fine arts success, as well as personal/social development. The comprehensive, developmental curriculum provided through this program is designed to meet identified needs of students in grades 6-12.The program’s main goal is to facilitate the development of individuals who are successful learners and have the skills to thrive in the everyday world.

     

    During the school year, the School Counseling Department is open to serve students and parents Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.  Please contact the Counseling Office at 706-823-6924 ext. 2340.

     

    Vision

    All students at John S. Davison Fine Arts Magnet School are academically and artistically talented learners who will graduate with the knowledge and artistic skills to succeed in college or a conservatory and be prepared meet the needs of the Twenty-first-century global workforce.  All students participate in a rigorous core curriculum supported by the comprehensive school counseling program that facilitates strategic partnerships among the school, family, and community.

    The mission of the John S. Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School Counseling Department is to provide a comprehensive school counseling program that empowers all students while embracing their individual and artistic differences.  In partnership with parents, administrators, teachers, faculty, staff, and key stakeholders, school counselors provide a continuum of support for academic achievement as well as career and personal/social development for all students.  The school counseling department strives to prepare all students to compete in a global economy and make a positive contribution to the community.
