Community Service Forms:
How Do I Apply?
In order to apply for membership in the WHS National Honor Society you must meet ALL of the following requirements.
- Be a Sophomore or Junior
- Have a 3.2 weighted cumulative average since ninth grade. Have attended WHS at least one full semester before being invited to apply.
- Be enrolled in at least four academic classes.
- Be enrolled in at least one Honors or AP level class.
- Have a satisfactory attendance and discipline record.
- Have no C’s in an average or honors class for the semester grade.
When Does the Application Process Take Place?
The application process begins Second Semester. Invitations to apply are sent out based on GPA for First Semester

Officer Duties
President
Meets with Advisor to plan meetings, discuss community service, amend Bylaws, vote on items
Helps run meetings (either virtually or in person)
Sends updates to other members
Gives information about NHS to other organizations
Makes calls/ sends emails about Community Service to outside organizations
Vice President
Meets with Advisor to plan meetings, discuss community service, amend Bylaws, vote on items
Helps run meetings (either virtually or in person) if President is not available
Gives information about NHS to other organizations
Makes calls/ sends emails about Community Service to outside organizations
Secretary
Meets with Advisor to plan meetings, discuss community service, amend Bylaws, vote on items
Helps Treasurer with money collection/tracking
Gives information about NHS to other organizations
Makes calls/ sends emails about Community Service to outside organizations
Treasurer
Meets with Advisor to plan meetings, discuss community service, amend Bylaws, vote on items
Collects / tracks monies collected
Gives information about NHS to other organizations
