Mr. Lamkin

Mr. Lamkin

  • Hello,

My name is Mr. Lamkin. I am a social studies teacher at Westside High School. I am an Augusta native and a Westside High School graduate. I served four years in the United States Marine Corps, traveling to various countries. My favorite country I was deployed to was Japan.

I graduated from Augusta University with a Bachelor’s degree in history, with a concentration in secondary education. I believe history is more than dates and facts; it is the story of the people, choices, and events that have shaped the world we live in today. Some of my hobbies include playing video games, studying history, going to the gym, watching baseball, reading, and watching anime.

The courses I teach are American Government, World Geography, and Personal Finance and Economics. As your student’s teacher, my goal is to make history meaningful, engaging, and relevant. As Malcolm X once said, “Education is our passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.” My aim is to create a classroom environment where students are challenged to think critically, communicate effectively, and grow as informed citizens.

I look forward to helping you forge your path of excellence and success here at Westside and beyond.
