Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Vakesa Hawthorne

Welcome! I am thrilled to welcome you to this new academic year. This year marks a significant milestone for me as I celebrate my 20th year of teaching. I am proud to be an alumna of this very school, where I have the privilege of giving back to the community that shaped me. I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Georgia Southern University, and I am excited to bring my passion for education and commitment to excellence into the classroom every day.

My teaching philosophy centers around fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment where every student feels valued and inspired to reach their full potential. I believe in the power of curiosity and encourage my students to ask questions, think critically, and explore new ideas. By integrating real-world applications and collaborative projects, I aim to make learning both meaningful and enjoyable. My goal is to not only impart knowledge but also to instill a lifelong love of learning in my students.
