¡Bienvenidos! Welcome! I am Profe Rivera and this will be my 13th year teaching Spanish. Here's a little background information about me. I was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico. My family moved to Augusta when I was 4 years old. I graduated from Harlem High School in Columbia County. I attended Georgia Military College where I received my Associate's degree in Pre-Nursing. I wanted to be a nurse, but upon graduating I decided to pursue a degree in Spanish instead. I attended Augusta State where I received my Bachelor's in Foreign Languages-Spanish with a minor in English Literature. I received my first teaching job at Langford Middle, but I needed to be certified, so I started my Masters in Teaching. I completed that degree and remained at Langford for 5 years until a position opened at ARC for the 2017-18 school year. I am embarking on my 9th year as a Musketeer, and I am excited about continuing teaching the students at Richmond Academy. As well as teaching, I am the Varsity Cheer coach at ARC. 

My door is always open to anyone who needs to talk! One of the many things I love about teaching is building relationships with my students. I want them to know that my classroom is a safe place, and I am always available if needed. I look forward to getting to know you!
