Welcome to my page! My name is Mr. Israel Butler, and I am thrilled to be teaching the Engineering & Technology pathway at the Academy of Richmond County High School. With over a decade of experience in education, I am passionate about integrating innovative teaching methods and technology to enhance student learning and engagement. I am a professional certified educator in Georgia and South Carolina.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of South Carolina Aiken, a Master of Education in Learning & Technology from Western Governors University, and Master of Education in Secondary Education (Engineering & Technology) from Grand Canyon University. I am also pursuing a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Practice & Innovation from the University of South Carolina. I have a diverse background in educational technology, multimedia services, and curriculum development. My journey in education has included roles as a multimedia journalist with WRDW-TV News 12, technology and communications specialist with Richmond County Board of Education, and Director of Multimedia Services at the University of South Carolina Aiken, where I developed and led successful digital learning and esports programs.
At ARC, I strive to create a dynamic and interactive classroom environment where students can explore the exciting world of engineering and technology. I am dedicated to fostering critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration among my students, preparing them for success in the 21st-century workforce.
Outside the classroom, I am passionate about esports and have successfully coached teams that have excelled in various competitions. I am eager to continue expanding our Team Musketeer esports program, providing students with unique opportunities to develop valuable skills both in and out of the classroom.
Thank you for visiting my page. I look forward to an exciting and productive school year!
