  • Course Overview:

    This course is designed to provide students with a deep understanding of literary analysis and critical thinking skills. Throughout the year, students will explore a wide range of literary texts, including novels, plays, poetry, and non-fiction. The curriculum aligns with the IB/AP Literature standards and emphasizes the analysis of themes, literary techniques, and the contextual significance of works from various time periods and cultures.

    • Literary Analysis: Study of narrative techniques, symbolism, character development, and thematic exploration in literature.

    Reassess and Relearn Plan

    For all major assessments, students have up to 10 school days to reassess up to two times.

    Students must fill out the reassessment form and provide documentation of relearning efforts, which could include:

    • Annotated readings
    • Revised essays
    • Tutoring sessions

    Minor assessments may be reassessed at the teacher's discretion.
