    Week of 8/11-

    Level 1- Learning about: what qualities make an effective teacher, the daily life of a teacher, rewards and challenges, where teachers can work, salaries, core teachers and non-core teachers, professional behaviors and skills (standard 1)

    Level 2 and Level 3 (based on pretest)- Careers in Education: administration, core and non-core teachers/ subjects, school counselor, school librarian, social worker, teacher assistant, professional behaviors and skills(standard 1)

    Week of 8/17-

    Level 1- standard 2- student organization in CTAE (FCCLA / FEA); research history, founding, milestones, growth, impacts, mission, purpose, motto, colors and dress.  Leadership/ Community service project, and how FCCLA/ FEA personal growth and lifelong responsibility

    Level 2 - Standard 2-2.3, 2.4, 2.5- Exploring Professional Organizations in Education at the national, state and local level- Presentation project.  If we have extra time, we will look at FCCLA / FEA and practice professional behavior and skills (Standard 1)

    Level 3- standard 2,2.1 Introduction to Teaching Philosophies - looking at different philosophies (teaching styles) creating a person teaching philosophy. Research and Presentation
