Mrs. Desire Rohde
Welcome to Mrs. Rohde's Room! I'm glad you're here.
About Me
Ms. Rohde is a graduate of Grovetown High School and Augusta University. Ms. Rohde attained a Bachelors of Science in General Biology and a Masters of Arts in Teaching in 2018. Ms. Rohde returned to Augusta University in 2021 to attain a Specialist in Education in Advanced Educational Innovation and a Gifted Education Endorsement. Mrs. Rohde is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Innovation at Augusta University.
Ms. Rohde's passion is for science education, literacy and STEAM education. Her favorite courses in college included Molecular Pathology, Animal Behavior, and Physics. Ms. Rohde is also passionate about reading and writing, and believes that literacy skills are important for every student, no matter their career aspirations. Ms. Rohde is passionate about incorporating cross-curricular connections into her classroom and prefers to teach science through the lens of art, social justice, and literacy.
In her free time, Ms. Rohde can be found reading a good book, playing piano, or playing video games.
This is Ms. Rohde's sixth year teaching at the Academy of Richmond County. Ms. Rohde is very excited to work with all of her students this year, and provide a safe, fun learning environment for her students to thrive in.
Tutoring Information
Mrs. Rohde is using a booking site to keep tutoring organized and effective. Please book your tutoring session below---Note: You must book 24 hours in advance.
Tutoring is offered after school from 3:30 to 4:30 most days. Please note, students must have a ride home to attend tutoring. Teachers may not drive students home.
