• Hospitality & Tourism – Culinary Arts

    The Hospitality & Tourism Career Cluster encompasses the management, marketing, and operations of restaurants, and other food services, lodging, attractions, recreation events, and travel related services. Culinary Arts is a growing program in our schools across Georgia. This program is designed for those wanting to learn the “art” of cooking and for those wanting to continue in the Arts field in any of the many diverse opportunities: Sous Chef, Pastry Chef, Kitchen manager, Garde Manger, Banquet Chef, or a Restaurant Entrepreneur.

     

    CTAE Dual Enrollment

    Dual Enrollment ​is designed to prepare students for college and career opportunities, leading students to postsecondary institutions for an industry recognized certification or lic​ensure, an associate and/or higher college ​​​degree, and successful employment. Georgia has created a singular program known as Dual Enrollment for students in grades 10-12 who qualify to participate. Students may enroll on a part-time or full-time basis as a Dual Enrollment student and take college courses at their high school or on a postsecondary campus. Students will receive high school and college credits simultaneously when attending and passing approved college classes.

    Business Management and Administration

    Students develop competencies in such areas of instruction as finance, legal operations of business, administrative support, information management, international business, entrepreneurship, and management. Students go beyond content knowledge and technical skills to develop leadership skills and teamwork essentials through a co-curricular student organization, Future Business Leaders of America, (FBLA). 

    Marketing

    The Marketing Education Program is designed to prepare students for postsecondary education and careers in marketing, management and entrepreneurship. Students develop knowledge and skills in the foundational areas of marketing (economics, human relations and business basics) and the functional areas of marketing (product and service planning, marketing-information management, purchasing and pricing, selling and promotion, risk management, financing and distribution/logistics), as well as in international marketing, management and entrepreneurship.

    Arts, ATV/Technology and Communications

    Arts, ATV/Technology and Communication programs equip students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for successful employment in the trade and industrial field(s) and for further education. Classroom/laboratory experiences, which enable students to develop technical and academic skills in laboratories that simulate the business or industrial work environment experience for the given area.
