About This Page
Welcome to the Richmond County School System’s School Improvement webpage. This webpage is designed to provide school improvement resources for stakeholders. By following a process of continuous improvement, the Richmond County School System provides direct support to schools. Our goal in continuous improvement is to promote growth in students, teachers, and leaders to increase student achievement and success by supporting quality teaching through the implementation of curriculum standards and research-based practices.
What is School Improvement?
School Improvement provides a data-driven, research-based framework for defining goals and objectives for improving student learning and for selecting and implementing strategies to improve the instructional and organizational effectiveness of every school.
School Improvement Partners
The Richmond County School System utilizes the GaDOE School Improvement Process to assist all schools in developing comprehensive School Improvement Plans (SIP) annually. We also partner with GaDOE and CSRA RESA to support ongoing professional learning through our district-level and site-based professional learning communities (PLC). In addition, the Richmond County School System works with Cognia, our system’s accreditation organization.
