Richmond County School System uses the Science Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) to provide the knowledge and skills in science through hands-on, student-centered, and inquiry-based instruction.

Science safety is non-negotiable. The responsibility of managing safety in the science classroom is in the hands of the teachers and students. It is up to the teacher to create a safe environment based on clear procedures and rules. Teachers can prevent risky behaviors from becoming an issue in the classroom by establishing and enforcing clear procedures and rules.
