      Five Richmond County School System (RCSS) teachers received surprising news during the middle of their school day when Dr. Kenneth Bradshaw, Superintendent of Schools, announced the top finalists for the annual Teacher of the Year award on Friday, August 9.

      RCSS earns Cognia accreditation

      Accreditation means the School System meets established performance standards focused on productive learning environments, equitable resource allocation, and effective leadership. In March 2024, we were notified of the reaccreditation results and our overall score exceeded the national average by 64 points.

      RCSS pathways graduation rate bests state

      The 2023 Richmond County School System pathway completers graduation rate in Career, Technical, and Agricultural Education (CTAE), Advanced Academic, World Language, and Fine Arts pathways have surpassed the state rate, according to data released last week.
