Graphic that says Disconnecting Distractions, Focusing on Futures
  • New Cell Phone Policy in the 2024-2025 Code of Student Conduct and Discipline

  • Starting this year, cell phones and digital communications devices like Apple Watches and AirPods will be prohibited from our classrooms, hallways, and other communal areas from the time the morning bell rings to the time students are dismissed for the day.

We heard from our community and saw the need to adapt to an ever-changing digital landscape to keep our classrooms focused on learning and achievement.

  • More than 4,500 students, family members, and staff shared their voices, along with a disciplinary committee of educators, administrators, and district staff. The goal of the cell phone policy is to promote the best possible learning and social environment in our classrooms and schools by limiting distractions from learning and the loss of instructional time.

Student Safety is always our highest priority.

  • Our schools are committed to providing timely and clear communication to our families during the school day. We encourage families to discuss after-school plans before school starts when possible. Emergency calls may be made in the main office, and school office staff can relay emergency messages from parents to students. Our anonymous Safety Tip Line is also available to share any concerns about student or school safety during the school day at (706) 828-1077.
