SCHOOL SOCIAL WORKERS
School social workers provide essential services for students who have educational adjustment issues or need guidance in identifying and resolving problems. Service interventions may include referrals to community development programs. School social workers also consult with school administrators, teachers, school support staff and parents in both individual and group settings. The delivery of services depends on the individual needs of the student. You may contact the school directly to speak with their assigned school social worker. You may also call the Lead Social Worker - Gardenia Wright at 706-826-1139 located in the Psychological Services Department, or the Student Services Department at 706-826-1129.
Each day United Way donates school supplies to Richmond County Schools. If you are experiencing economic hardship, your assigned school social worker may be able to assist you with needed supplies. Please contact the assigned school social worker directly at your child's school. You may also call the Lead Social Worker - Gardenia Wright at 706-826-1139 located in the Psychological Services Department, or the Student Services Department at 706-826-1129.
