About Our Process
-
The Richmond County School System is developing a plan for our school buildings and for what our school system could look like in the future. We are working with HPM to create a plan to maintain our current buildings and to create spaces for our future students.
The HPM team has visited all our school buildings to determine the number of instructional and enrichment classrooms. As the process continues, we will use those numbers as well as data about our county's population to identify where we have more capacity for students.
The survey feedback we received in early October 2023 was extremely informative and we are moving into the next phase of our community outreach. Our Community Dialogue on Thursday, December 7 allowed us to talk with alumni, neighbors and business partners about our school system and the facilities that will be needed in the future.
The first two weeks of March we will be hosting Community Meetings to talk about the recommendations beginning in the 2024-25 school year. Please make plans to participate in one of those meetings.
