Community Partnerships & After-School Programs


  • Augusta University Literacy Center offers grant-funded (free to our students) literacy tutoring and GED prep classes for adults. Visit the website for a list of literacy services, community events, and an application

     

    Augusta Public Libraries- check your local library for Storytime schedules and special events.

    Boys & Girls Clubs- offer innovative programs designed to empower youth to excel in school, become good citizens and lead healthy, productive lives. The Clubs provide kids and teens a safe, fun place to learn and grow after school and throughout the summer. Check your local club for enrollment and program opportunities.

    Family Y of Greater Augusta offers afterschool programs at many of our elementary schools, which includes homework help, academic programming, and exercise time. For a list of schools with Prime Time programs, costs of programs, and information on registration, visit the Family Y website.

    Jessye Norman School of the Arts is a free, comprehensive after-school fine arts program serving 10-18 year olds. All students must apply here.

    Rise Augusta offers in-school (select RCSS schools) and after school tutoring for elementary students. They also offer the STRIVE program for older students and adults for workforce development. Rise is grant funded and free to our students. For enrollment and more information, consult the Rise website.
